Following the official draw held on Tuesday, April 21, the 16 nations competing in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 now know their path to glory. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 13, 2026, across two iconic venues in Germany: the Berlin Arena and the Max-Schmeling-Halle.
This 20th edition marks a significant expansion of the field from 12 to 16 teams, reflecting the massive global growth of the women’s game. Host nation Germany headlines Group A, while defending champions the United States find themselves in a challenging Group D.
